The cotton sails are thick enough that my toddler can actually grab them without ripping anything, which was my main worry with a wooden toy. It's a bit heavier than the plastic boats we had before, so it stays upright in the bath instead of tipping over constantly.

The little walnut-stained trim and the sailor figure make this feel like a proper heirloom toy, not the plastic junk I've been replacing. My three-year-old has been sailing it across the bathtub edge for a week straight and the beechwood hasn't chipped once.

The cotton sails actually feel like fabric, not stiff cardboard, and my kid loves tucking the little wooden sailor under them for naps. Even after weeks of bathtub-adjacent play the beechwood still looks new.
